We showed that platelets facilitate metastastic growth of disseminated cancer cells in breast cancer patients. This indicates that today's diagnostic biopsy procedures, causing bleeding in association with blood vessel injury, may initiate tumour cell spread of a still local tumour disease. Our anti-seeding technology uses radiofrequency pulses to seal intratumoral blood vessels and significantly reduce bleeding. Find the study here.

A breast cancer patient who decided against surgery and instead received PRFA treatment two month ago has visited St. Görans Hospital for a follow-up today. MRI pictures show a complete destruction of the tumor. The case is being prepared for publication.
